Friday Reader

Photographed by Aaron Shintaku

I am way behind on my google reader from the past two weeks, but I wanted to share a few pictures that totally caught my eye when I started reading through some of the posts in my reader.  This yellow and peacock wedding was photographed by Aaron Shintaku, styled by Jesi Haack, and the floral design was by JL Designs. These two pictures are a teaser of the amazingness on the Inspired by This blog.  You have to check out the rest of the pictures to see just why I fell in love with this wedding.

Cute ways to tie in your colors into your wedding day, and even your personality.  The bowties and fabric flowers were woven in elsewhere during the wedding day, and the burst of color was so fresh and fun!  Check out the rest of the amazing photographs here!

Peacock Wednesday Part 3 – Accessories

A little insider tip on me… I love shoes.  Especially wedding shoes that are colorful (see my wedding shoes here).

I think my favorite part of this theme is incorporating that pop of pizazz into the accessories of the day. I think you’ll agree after you look at the below!

Pretty sure you may see me out and about St. Louis with that headband soon.  Oh and shoes… you can’t hide from me either…

If you are having a summer wedding, a fan shaped like a peacocks tail is a fabulous little way to tie in your theme.  You can hang them on the back of ceremony chairs like below, or hand them out as the guests enter the ceremony site!

An addition to the paper suite above from Meant to be Sent is this program fan that matches the menu above.  Colors can be customized as well.

Peacock Wednesday

Today is ALL about peacocks!  The colors in peacock feathers are seriously amazing, and there are a lot of different elements you can use to make a really elegant affair!

To start it off, take a look at this ring shot from Michael Howard.  So many colors you could focus on!

There are many different decor options depending on how much you want to incorporate the peacock theme.  I love the combination of rich jewel colors and if you do too, check out the fabulous decor inspiration pictures below.  You could bring in just a touch of a peacock feather on the gift table with the bird cage or incorporate colors from the peacock feather into your wedding colors.  Navy and turquoise are great colors for weddings.
