Succulent Inspiration

Succulents can be used everywhere in your wedding design.  From the escort cards, to the center pieces above, they are a great addition to your wedding.  I love them, because if you use them as your centerpiece, you can have each guest take one home as a favor.  I love what the wedding did above, they gave each guest a small square vase that already had a succulent in it.  It added to the overall feel of the table, and was a little pop of color on that white plate.

I came across a vendor, Succulent Galore, on etsy who sells succulents ready to go for any party you are planning.  The below is a centerpiece that you can arrange yourself, but she will send you everything you need as a kit.  Urban chic on your dining room table during your next dinner party!

If you are looking for succulents for your wedding favors or need them in bulk, Succulents Galore also has an option of buying 100 from her.  They come in a variety of styles and just looking at the picture below makes me happy.  They are just so fun!

Check out everything else offered here in the etsy shop!

Succulent Bouquet Inspiration

I love bouquets that incorporate different textures, and adding succulents to your bouquet is an incredibly easy way to add some of that.  It also incorporates something more substantial in size, which means you can use less of another flower because it fills up more space.  My favorite in this bunch?  The beautiful one in the middle with the spiky bright pink flowers.  Perfect contrast, and just a stunning bouquet!

Creating an Outdoor Living Space

Mike and I are in the process of “renovating” our backyard.  We’re making new gardens, planting new plants, basically trying to spruce up the yard now that we’ve been there for almost a full year.  We love spending time outside grilling and just hanging out in the summer and my goal is to really make it a comfy place to be.  I know this will take time, but I have enjoyed pulling ideas from other blogs and people and holding on to them as inspiration for this place in our home.

Enter Erin ever After and her DIY Succulent Chandelier.  It is stunning and absolutely perfect.  I’ve been trying to figure out how to add succulents to my back yard, and this is perfect.  I think I may transition it to hang elsewhere as we don’t have a good area on the patio to hang from, but the idea is golden!   It only needs to be hanging at a point where the husband won’t hit his head mowing the yard!  I just love the candles in the bell jars, the potted succulents, and the fact that it is a pot rack that they sit on!  I know we could find one of those at the antique mall.

I see a spring project in my future!
